President of the Jamaica Volleyball Association (JAVA) Jacqueline Cowan has been appointed to be a member of the Olympic Programme Commission.
The role of the commission is to make sure the Olympic programme remains relevant to young people by ensuring innovation and adapting to modern tastes and trends while respecting the history and tradition of the sporting body.
Cowan is first vice-president of the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA), general secretary at CAZOVA and a member of the NORCECA Sports Organizing Commission.
