JOA to Transform Cunningham Avenue Headquarters into Futuristic Olympic Manor

The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) is set to transform its long-standing headquarters at 9 Cunningham Avenue in Kingston into a modern, multi-purpose sporting facility as part of a multimillion-dollar, two-phase investment project. The redeveloped space, to be known as “The Olympic Manor,” will usher in a new era of athlete-focused infrastructure and commercial innovation in Jamaican sport.

Phase 1 of the project will include a wellness hub for athletes and JOA members, a physiotherapy facility, a sports apparel store, a commercial restaurant, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and a museum. These additions are expected to reshape how the sporting community engages with the JOA, offering athletes, coaches, and members a boutique-style experience rooted in development and cultural appreciation.

More than just a headquarters, Olympic Manor is being positioned as a commercial asset in the JOA’s inventory—reinforcing the governing body’s commitment to the business of sport. With its conference facilities and museum, the facility is also expected to contribute to Kingston’s growing commercial and tourism profile.

The JOA describes the project as an “innovative headquarters” and a “first to market” initiative within the multi-lingual Caribbean. It is intended to spark wider strategic discussions around monetising physical assets and embracing change management as vital steps toward building a sustainable sport industry.

Olympic Manor will serve as a monument to Jamaica’s sporting legacy while providing an essential foundation for the long-term viability of the JOA. The facility’s athlete-centric design and diverse revenue streams will help expand the range of benefits available to athletes and other stakeholders, continuing the JOA’s commitment to its “sport for all” philosophy.
